April 08 2015… don’t we wish for something different sometimes

Coffee and tea in one. And I did use that hazelnut milk on it, just need to use it.

Interesting thing about tacos. So I and my husband we got brisket and beans and both of us just had brisket no bean but one of our coworker got same stuff and he had beans, so strange. So yes brisket beans (without beans) and chicken fajita tacos.

Rice and vegetables for last night. And that yogurt I won’t get again, I wanted to see how it is and not my style.

Bread with cheese and summer sausage.

Bread what my mother in law mad for Easter.

Strawberry shortcake Lärabar. It tasted like strawberries.

So we went out to eat and we ended up going to Brick House Tavern. I like how the menus are on brown paper and the drink menu was in big roll and they just gave us a sheet from the roll.

Zucchini curls and I got some lemonade. We went out with my mother in law and father in law.

I ha a cup of onion soup what was excellent for sure.

Father in law had chicken & waffles. So strange sweet and salty together.

Mother in law had prosciutto wrapped meatloaf with some mashed potatoes.

My husband got wild mushroom pizza and what was good.

And for me I had hickory smoked salmon. And that fish was so good that I would love to get big fish made that way even yes that sauce on it was sweet but not too bad and there wasn’t too much of it. But yes really excellent smoked fish.

March 14 2015… sometimes we wonder what if…

Red beet chips.

My bad. I got that yogurt thinking it was almond milk and I wanted little almond milk to make my chai tea latte with but yes it’s cultured almond milk so it’s yogurt or so. Ended up making chai tea latte with regular milk and had some cinnamon bread with it. And by the way that almond milk thing isn’t so nice at all.

Pancakes with apple jam.

Uhh.. what protein shake. That wasn’t too bad but it took me some time to drink it.

We are going to make some onion soup.

Had cup of coffee when my husband was doing the cooking… I did my part by chopping up onions.

So cook them long and slow it seems.

Still waiting for the soup so I had few peaces of chocolate.

Onion soup and yes it’s just onions. So you serve it with cheese and dry sourdough bread. We did had some bread it’s just under the cheese, some rye bread.

February 07 2015.. it was backed so we went to next door

Coffee and yogurt.

So called 3 layer yogurt. It was interesting one and not too bad at all even yes it was leaning to the sweeter side.

Not too bad chips from gas station.

Some candy. Candy what I got from IKEA some time ago.

So what happened that day was we wanted to check out some new restaurant next to our HEB+ but as we walked in there there was long line for people waiting seats and no room to stand around and wait for a table so we left and went next door what happened to be La Madeleine: Country French Café. I got Napaolion cake and that cake wasn’t so great 1st of all that frosting made the 1st layer so hard that it was hard to eat and it was so sweet. To be honest all the layers where quite hard and filling wasn’t too big thing at all as well. Only thing I liked and the idea was that they has some strawberries between the layers.

I got little mushroom soup and that mushroom soup is the best since they use different mushrooms and it has nice mushroom flavor. My main was some chicken and mushroom sauce and again that mushroom sauce was amazing nice flavor and all but the broccoli was over cooked and watery not so tasty at all. My husband got grapes with chicken and sauce and bowl of onion soup. That onion soup was amazing as well and grapes where ok.

October 03… IN-N-OUT

Tea.

Pita bread, was good bread.

I was running around with my mother in law and sister in law and we had lunch in place called Sweet Tomatoes. It was place where you built your own salad and stuff was how much can you eat, pay some flat fee and eat away. Salad was good and fresh. Soups where good as well.

So I had a cup or so of onion soup as well, since the 1st onion soup I had was to be honest bad but that one was good and bought back desire to try that soup again some other time or even make it.

Even I had a salad and I was full I could not pass on offer of that burger since people kept telling me how good they are and the meat is nice and fresh and local and same with fries. Sake was good as well. In-n-out was that place.

Burger full of stuff. Surprisingly it was good one but I was so stuffed after eating it. And I was glad in the same time that I did have it when we went there since we didn’t go back even they did mention we would go back.
